Methodology: how listings and comparisons work
How suppliers are included, what we check, how the documentation checklist is defined, and why there are no scores or rankings.
Who is listed
A supplier is listed when it sells research peptides to at least one GCC country and has a public website we can read. Listing is not an endorsement and is not paid for.
A profile is published only when every factual line has a source: a quotation from the supplier’s own page with a link and the date we checked it, or a document we reviewed. Profiles we cannot currently verify are kept as unpublished drafts. They do not appear in the directory, search, sitemap or feed.
How we check
We read each supplier’s shipping, refund, testing and contact pages, capture them with a headless browser (or a text reader where a site blocks automated browsers), and quote the relevant sentences verbatim. Each record shows its “last verified” date. Records older than 90 days are marked “due for re-check” until an editor reviews them again.
Some sources are statements a supplier gave us directly that do not appear on its website. These are shown separately, labelled as supplier statements, with the date we received them.
The documentation checklist
Every supplier profile shows nine yes/no criteria. Each one is a fact about what we found in public documents, applied identically to every supplier. The count is not a quality or safety rating.
| Criterion | “Yes” means |
|---|---|
| Certificates published without request | A certificate library or per-product certificates are viewable on the website before ordering. |
| Batch numbers shown on certificates | Certificates we reviewed, or the supplier’s published library, show batch or lot numbers. |
| Testing laboratory named | The supplier names the laboratory that tests its products. |
| Every certificate links to the laboratory’s own record | Each current certificate we reviewed opens a record or report hosted by the laboratory, not by the seller. A mix of laboratory records and seller-hosted reports does not count. |
| Shipping policy page with fees and timings | A shipping policy exists and we recorded at least one destination’s fee or timing from it. |
| Refund / returns policy page | We recorded the URL of a refund or returns policy. |
| Destinations listed by country | The supplier names the countries it delivers to. |
| Business location published | The website gives at least a city or area for the business. |
| Public contact channel | An email, phone, messaging or form contact is published. |
“No” always means “not recorded in our capture on the date shown”. It never means we have established that the supplier does not do something.
Comparisons
Comparison tables use the same rows for every supplier, in the order the reader picks them (or alphabetically). They contain no scores, stars or winners. Where a supplier publishes something another does not, we say so plainly and link the source. We do not make claims from absence, and we do not compare product quality, effectiveness or safety, which documents cannot establish.
Prices
Price observations show the listed price on the date we checked, with amount, format, currency and a link. They never mix formats, exclude shipping unless stated, and are withheld after 30 days until re-checked. We do not reproduce strike-through “was” prices.
How suppliers are ordered
By default, suppliers are listed by the number of documentation criteria they meet (above), then by how many of the six GCC countries they deliver to, then alphabetically. The same rule applies everywhere suppliers are listed — the directory, country pages, product pages and comparisons. You can also sort A–Z or by the date we last checked them. Commercial relationships are not part of the ordering.
